Kenya has been selected to host the Second Africa Urban Forum (AUF2), bringing together ministers, mayors, urban planners, and development partners from across the continent to Nairobi in April 2026.
The forum will serve as a premier platform for multi-stakeholder dialogue on Africa's urbanisation trajectory, with a particular focus on leveraging cities as engines of economic transformation, climate resilience, and inclusive growth.
Sessions will cover affordable housing finance, informal settlement upgrading, urban resilience to climate shocks, and digital tools for city planning — drawing on Kenya's own experience with Boma Yangu and KENSUP as case studies for the region.
