The Boma Yangu digital platform has surpassed one million registered users, marking a significant milestone in the government's Affordable Housing Programme.
Since its launch, the platform has enabled Kenyans to register, save toward a deposit, and express interest in specific housing projects entirely online — removing many of the bureaucratic barriers that previously slowed access to public housing schemes.
The department noted that registrations have accelerated particularly among young professionals and first-time buyers, reflecting growing confidence in the programme's delivery timelines as more units come online across Nairobi, Nakuru, and other counties.
